Peer Mediation Schemes (Kalm Kidz)

Many schools have benefited from this type of training, it helps children feel more self-confident, able to learn better, get in less trouble, enjoys school, learning and life. It reduces physical and psychological bullying. It reduces teasing and ‘put-downs’

By teaching children how to talk to others, how to listen and co-operate, how to find a solution to a problem that pleases everyone – a win/win outcome. How to get what they want without being aggressive. They then have the skills needed to solve problems and handle conflict in a positive way

A 15 hour programme that takes place within school during the school day

• It’s suitable for Year 5 & above pupils at junior, middle and senior schools
• Each session usually lasts for 1.5 hours
• The trainer will be one of our qualified mediators and members of the school staff will also be involved with the training
• There will be lots of paired activities, group work and role plays
• At the end of the programme children will be awarded a certificate
